When it comes to traffic you only have two choices: buy it or build it. That's it.
You are either buying traffic with ezine ad placements, PPC, PPV, banners, solo mailings, etc...
Or you are trying to build up traffic through cross promotions - and most likely - SEO.
Now, this isn't some lame report on Bum Marketing and how you can make $0.73/day writing articles like a slave. There's a time and a place for that shit but people spend WAY TO MUCH TIME on stuff like this and miss the forest from the trees.
You're supposed to be a marketer. Act like one.

Confused? You shouldn't be. Most of the $7 reports and Clickbank products out there are trying to give you all the tips and tricks to "crush" Google. They completely ignore the other search engines.
Why?
Because Google is sexy. Google is in the news. Google is where "all the traffic is..."
Really?
If you believe that let me give you two other doosies:
- Banner ads are dead
- You can't make money with Adsense
Bottom line - Google is important. I am not going to blow smoke up you ass and say it doesn't count. But Google isn't the only game in town.
The goal isn't to get traffic from Google. The goal is to get traffic PERIOD and then CONVERT that traffic into buyers.
Google is a means. Not an end. And it ain't the only means in town.
Every stinking SEO 101 ebook and course you see out there - and even some of the expensive ones - tell you that if you can rank in Google you'll do great in Yahoo and MSN.
