Every time someone goes to the homepage and goes through the buying process they get cookied with a rotating Clickbank affiliate ID. So any direct traffic you or they generate gets paid out to an affiliate.
Of course, they are using their own affiliate links. This jacks their Clickbank gravity because gravity is nothing more than a measure of how many affiliates sold the product over a period of time. So even if you are selling something direct, you get a boost in the CB marketplace and with your Clickbank gravity score if you sell through your own affiliate link. Yes, you lose some pennies in this transaction but you should make it up with better marketplace rankings especially if you don’t normally have a lot of affiliates ‘pimping your stuff.
Whether you do something as automated as this or not doesn’t matter. If you have products on Clickbank you need to promote your own stuff using affiliate links. Pump yourself up.
