And no, this isn’t a joke.
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints has a very deliberate and wide SEO strategy. They are not only targeting the typical “long tail” that internet marketers love to go after but they are battling it out at the head for 1-word keyword phrases like “church” and “friend”.
We sometimes forget (or forget to look at our stats) that a single “keyword focused” web page can rank and bring traffic in for hundreds and thousands of other keyword phrases. It’s pretty clear the LDS church knows this and is very smart with their short- and long-tail SEO strategy.
